Watch for flocks of Cedar Waxwings

I photographed these Cedar Waxwings resting in a dead tree, visible from my backyard. The beautiful Cedar Waxwings were soaking up the fading evening sunlight. Notice their beautiful colors and masked face.  I love watching them do amazing ups and downs in their flight patterns as they hunt flying insects.

Check out the Mountain Ash trees in your neighborhood, the trees should be full of orange berries right now.  Cedar Waxwings love the berries and they often feed in flocks of over 100.  Learn more about them by visiting all about birds.org

Let me know if you spot any!
